Tony Gonzales is a member of the United States House of Representatives, representing Texas's 23rd congressional district since January 3, 2021. A member of the Republican Party, Gonzales has focused on issues such as border security, veterans' affairs, and economic development in his district, which spans a large area of southwestern Texas. He has been an advocate for policies aimed at addressing the challenges faced by his constituents, particularly in relation to immigration and law enforcement.
I think that's going to -- hearings are going to absolutely take place. And where that leads us, who knows?
I would love to have a conversation with the administration to work through something.
It's very difficult to have the conversation on immigration reform when the border is not secure.
You know, I think part of the conversation, we have to be unified. This country is not unified.
So, this is how the legislative process works, is, Congress determines the laws. Right now, we have a Congress that won’t talk to one another.
What happens is this, is any time there’s something that goes wrong, people like to blame other people, instead of looking inward.
If you lose one sailor or marine or airman or soldier or guardian, I mean, that should be a wakeup call to any leadership.
