I quite frankly do not understand why we cannot streamline that and make a pointed approach.

Since I took office, I have pushed for less government regulations and encouraged the streamline of federal programs to ensure government is being a good steward of taxpayer dollars.

As most of you know, I am also a small business owner. I have been for 51 years.

Are you concerned that your Agency unilaterally made a single Federal standard that is at odds with every other State's laws?

I am concerned with the one-size-fits-all approach that we have the FHFA and the GSEs are taking with respect to lease terms.

Well, anytime there is more cost and regulation, it affects the consumer.

So, I think we should be doing everything we can to help people right now with the inflation crisis instead of discussing a proposed rule.

This is not simply a transitory problem like the Fed claimed, or the high-class problem that the White House wants to deflect it to.

But I am sitting here and thinking we should be talking about the things that I am hearing from my people back home in Texas, including out-of-control inflation, border issues, interest rates, crime, and food.

Excessive regulations are important. They could be a major drag, as you know, on the economy and private sector participants.

The Biden economy just simply is not working.

And we need to quit talking about tax increases. We need to keep taxes where they are.

Have you guys had an opportunity to engage the White House about proposals on regulatory relief which would actually really open up a lot of these issues that businesses across the country are facing?

My experience with the federal government has been pretty much a slow pay.

Small business contractors are some of the hardest hit businesses by runaway price increases.

You have got the problem and then you have got to have the fix.

Americans see the reckless government spending and the hostile posture towards our energy companies as the main factor in these record levels of inflation.

The only thing the Biden administration is doing is making excuses.

Excessive government regulations cause an increase in compliance.

I can tell you that the Biden administration is completely out of touch with Main Street America.

Tell him that he needs to quit talking about tax increases. He needs to be fixing inflation.

Thirty-day pay is good. Ninety-day is bad.

All American small businesses deserve an opportunity to compete, as we talked about, for government contracts against their larger counterparts.

This why we need everybody here and quit this nonsense we got going.

Trying to figure out how to beat the government is tough.
