I cannot understate how important increasing U.S. competitiveness overseas is because, you know, it's easy to villainize Russia and China and just always say it's Russia and China's fault.

Robust federal investment in advanced nuclear energy R&D is essential to our energy independence, our emissions reduction plans, our national security, and our international competitiveness.

We cannot afford to cede leadership in the global nuclear energy market to our international rivals, like China and Russia.
