First of all, enthusiasm does matter. It really does. But arithmetic matters more. In other words, if you have fewer voters but they're really, really, really fired up, you still lose.
Romney has a much, much tougher map. If you begin, as you should, presuming he'll carry every state John McCain did, then he still needs Indiana, which he'll almost -- he's very strong in, very likely to win.
If you don't move the needle on jobs in 3.5 years, you will lose your job, Mr. President.

The administration clearly did not have all the facts when they started saying that they had all the facts, and so the initial stories they say were overtaken by events.
I do think, John, it's a certainty. It is, I will say, an important issue to investigate. That the administration's investigating, the Congress is investigating, that's good.
There's only two ways to run in America. And that is scared or unopposed.
Notice that in the vice presidential debate last night, one of the very first things that Joe Biden did when they turned toward the economy was raise the auto bailout.
The Obama campaign is making the case and I think they have got the better of the argument that the governor opposed, Governor Romney opposed the auto bailout.
