Thank you, and I would like to yield to the gentleman for a question. It's my understanding that the Albuquerque Tea Party was one that filed for 501(c)(4) status 3 years ago. I don't know if the gentleman is familiar with the Albuquerque…

I think that it's worthy to note that apparently, when there was a Fox News reporter named Rosen that wanted to look into this Fast and Furious information and hopefully get the scoop, get to the bottom line of what really happened…
Thank you, Mr. Speaker. It has been an interesting week here in Washington, especially here on Capitol Hill. We found out a great deal we didn't know before. We're getting more details. It's intriguing that we have the IRS official, Ms…
Well, apparently, after 2 years of waiting, they got a multipage letter from the IRS asking for really extensive, intrusive information that it sounds like the IRS should never have had to inquire about. But here again, it sounds like…
Thank you, Mr. Speaker. It may surprise some of my colleagues, I agree with so much of what was being said with regard to the cost of education and how we need to be very sensitive to that. I was concerned about the vote we were going to…
Thank you, Mr. Speaker. I certainly appreciate and agree with the gentleman's concerns about the failure of the administration to secure the border. We are quite aware that the border did not get as secure as we would have hoped under the…
There's an article I missed that came out March 15, 2013, from Healthcare IT News--rather interesting. It talks about a lawsuit against the IRS because the IRS, it says, stole health records of some 10 million Americans, including the…
It's always an honor to come to the floor of the House of Representatives, especially when there's so much of great importance occurring in our Nation at this time. We do need health care reform, and I appreciate my friends across the…
Thank you, Mr. Speaker. It is indeed an honor for me to yield to a friend, a man that I am delighted was elected to join us last year, my friend, Mr. Yoho from Florida, for such time as he may consume. The Second Amendment
Thank you for that worthy tribute. Well, I want to reference a part of a Special Order address that was delivered here on this floor February 16, 2012, by me, and in that I had before me a transcript of a hearing where the FBI Director…
I appreciate my friend from Wisconsin so much in giving voice to those who have no voice. We hear so often on this floor from people who mean what they say as they say: We have an obligation to help the most vulnerable amongst us, to help…
I thank my friend from Florida. At this time, I'm proud to yield to a friend from Wisconsin (Mr. Duffy). I'm proud Wisconsin and Texas are in the same country because Wisconsin has certainly produced some great Americans. Protecting Our…
Thank you, Mr. Speaker. I must say how proud I am of the Members of Congress from the class that came in 2 years ago and of those who are coming in now. It's an honor to serve with folks who care so much about the country and where we're…
Thank you, Mr. Speaker. With the news yesterday of the terrible explosion in West, Texas, our thoughts, hearts, prayers go out to those people so terribly harmed and adversely affected and to the loss of lives, just as we continue to…
We know that there is so much going on after the tragedy in Boston where not just Boston was attacked, but the United States was attacked by acts of sheer evil, perpetrators who did not care about innocent people and innocent lives. They…
This was to be a happy and glorious day in Boston. Because of the explosions that were set off by evil people, at least two have been killed, we're told, and scores of others wounded. Our thoughts and our prayers go out for those who were…
A lot has been going on this week and certainly worthy of discussion here at the end of the week. One of the important topics that has been discussed at both the Senate end and the House end is the issue of immigration--legal immigration…
I know the intention of my friends on the other side of the aisle. We all want the country to run at maximum peak performance so that people have jobs. But it's interesting the ways we have going about trying to see that that happens…
Well, thank you. And I'll just take a moment because what you're talking about is so very critical. And just to reiterate the point that's been coming out in a couple of hearings, I was shocked that 34.9 percent of all prosecutions by this…
Do you know how much you would save if we had a secure border where we were not having to spend 34.9 percent of our prosecutions on people entering illegally?
I want immigrants coming. I am talking about people that come that we do not want coming in.
I was amazed during a hearing we had with the director of ICE to find out about the prosecutions involved in going after people who have reentered the United States after being deported.
It is not the law that we passed in Congress. This is the Administration saying we want you to fly privately.
