Shouldn't the EPA reconsider the rule that would threaten to expose the personal information and could have a chilling impact both on participation and on research overall?

the rule puts individuals at great risk of having their Parkinson's or other diagnoses exposed if they participate in clinical studies.

We want to encourage these kinds of studies, and that concern is something that I think Americans share.

You still believe that level A training would be the appropriate level of training?

Well, it is my understanding that in December of 2018 Boeing met with the FAA's transport aircraft evaluation group to discuss and plan, evaluate, and validate--

And part of that conversation was that the FAA tasked Boeing with proposing pilot training related to the MCAS software fix that would be evaluated and documented in the FAA's flight standardization board report.

I think this is a critical place where Congress really needs to reassess whether this is a program that should continue.

You are not aware that Boeing recommended level A pilot training, instead of level B?

And I think that that really needs to remain our focus as we are here today.

Do you understand that the FAA responded to that by saying that they didn't--they cautioned Boeing that level A training might not be the appropriate level of training?

Do you still believe that statement is true?

Well, according to a letter from Boeing to the FAA, Boeing represented that, for the MCAS enhancement, level A training would only be required.

This hearing today is incredibly important to myself, to the people I represent, and to all of my colleagues here.

We want to figure out how to do this faster.

I think suggestions that you all would have for us that we could implement that would make it easier for the victims of these disasters to navigate that process would be extremely helpful.
