I think that is something that we have seen, is what happens when what you are usually relying on fails.
I hope I can work with Mr. Pfluger and my friends on both sides of the aisle to really work on understanding the depths of this incredibly complicated work we have in front of us and working together to achieve all of our shared objectives.
I would request, hopefully, that we will get a little more notice in the future in time to review these bills.
I think there has been a lot of really important information conveyed, as well, in your written testimony.
As many have noted in testimony and in questions today, this growing industry has great potential to connect Americans in rural and underserved areas and to provide life-saving service during emergencies and natural disasters.
Several have spoken about the benefits of satellite telecommunications for consumers experiencing disasters and communities recovering from disasters.
In Texas' Seventh Congressional District that I represent and along the Texas Gulf Coast, we are, unfortunately, all too familiar with flooding and extreme rain events and hurricanes and emergency and natural disasters.
I am disappointed to hear some of the attacks on the 117th Congress' energy policies rather than more ideas about how we can work together.
The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and the Inflation Reduction Act that we passed last Congress are historic pieces of legislation.
