The impact on our economy from those economists, I believe, is wildly exaggerated.

As the government grows, jobs along Main Street shrink.

It is time to stop listening to the economists who got it wrong and start looking at a proven approach.

I must express my disappointment that neither President Obama's Budget nor his Economic Report exhibited any urgency in addressing the serious fiscal challenges facing our nation.

countries that reduced their government budget deficits...can boost their economy and job creation in the short term.

It is time to put an end to the runaway spending and the record deficits.

Our government spends money like drunken sailors, but that would insult the sailors because at least they spend their own money.

Continued delay will only hurt American interests in the region and the ability of American workers, businesses, and farmers to compete.

This agreement is a good, solid agreement that levels the playing field for our workers and exporters.

Our exports to the region will soon support more than 2 million U.S. jobs.

I strongly believe we should consider all three by July 1st.

Opening up dynamic new markets like Panama for American goods and services must be a priority for robust U.S. long-term growth.

Here we are 2 years later spending over $800 billion, we have 2.2 million fewer jobs today in America than when the stimulus began.

Panama really is a key trading ally, and the improvements they have made and commitments they have made are impressive.

I think we are hearing a lot of Draconian projections about job losses due to minor spending reductions.

I strongly believe we should consider all three pending agreements by July 1st.

Not only has the delay caused American companies, workers, farmers, and ranchers to miss opportunities to sell more to Panama, we also run the risk of falling behind.

I also urge the Committee to include mandatory spending reforms in the budget resolution.

And we're having and seeing and dealing with this Environmental Protection Agency regulating us away from market-based solutions.

So, Texans have spent billions of dollars to make our air cleaner and businesses have invested, as well, over the last decade; and yet the EPA is imposing and seizing our permits.

Failure to move forward with the U.S.-Colombia trade agreement is undermining U.S. influence and leadership in our own hemisphere and putting at risk both good U.S. jobs and the competitiveness of U.S. exporters.

According to the President's own statements, these agreements have the ability to create over 250,000 American jobs.

I strongly believe that we should consider all three agreements by July 1st.

This new national takeover of health care is just a mess in so many ways. Two of them we highlight today. One, our Democratic friends heaped a huge new pay-for burden on our small businesses that none of them frankly can comply with. And…
