Kay Bailey Hutchison is a former U.S. Senator from Texas, serving from 1993 to 2013. A member of the Republican Party, she was the first woman to represent Texas in the Senate. During her tenure, Hutchison was known for her work on issues such as space exploration, military funding, and education. She played a significant role in advocating for NASA and was a strong supporter of human spaceflight initiatives.
