This is really a moral issue. It`s not a partisan issue. The Republicans want to pretend like it`s the Democrats or that it`s just black folk. But it`s not. It`s about what`s right, what`s wrong. It`s about our democracy, a democracy that seemingly they only believe in so long as it means that they`re in power.

Instead of just saying, ‘We’re currently in a shutdown,’ you decided to play partisan politics on an official website, and I guess there is no limit to what they won’t do, because they do the exact same thing when we walk into committee.

The vast majority on that side of the aisle… are White men. White men are lecturing people of color because the vast majority, actually any semblance of diversity comes from this [Democratic] side of the aisle.
