I want the students to understand something about his life.

Freedom is important. Freedom is essential. Freedom is nonnegotiable.

I want to congratulate you for that.

We must not only find them in Afghanistan; we must find them wherever they hide.

I'm so honored you're here.

Politics is important, but it's not nearly as important as winning a war.

Out of this evil came some incredible good.

It's either evil—[applause].

The best homeland defense, the best way to make sure America is secure and free, is to find the enemy where it hides and bring them to justice.

This Nation is united.

They thought we would weaken.

Every child can learn, and no child should be left behind in this country.

I appreciate him coming over to say hello again.

No child—I mean no child—would be left behind.

The Commission was established by Congress in December 2000 and will organize and coordinate national and local Memorial Day observances to honor the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country.

So we're linked up well in our mutual desires to leave the world more peaceful.

We seek not revenge; we seek justice.

I sent such brave, brave men and women into a tough conflict.

America is no longer protected by vast oceans. We are protected from attack only by vigorous action abroad and increased vigilance at home.

We will work closely with our coalition to deny terrorists and their state sponsors the materials, technology, and expertise to make and deliver weapons of mass destruction.

States like these and their terrorist allies constitute an axis of evil, arming to threaten the peace of the world.

If we stop now, leaving terror camps intact and terrorist states unchecked, our sense of security would be false and temporary.

Our cause is just, and it continues. Our discoveries in Afghanistan confirmed our worst fears and showed us the true scope of the task ahead.

It's good to be in the great State of North Carolina.

Citizen Corps will enable Americans to volunteer to participate directly in homeland security efforts in their own communities.
