I do hereby proclaim March 16, 2002, as West Point Bicentennial Day.

I encourage all Americans to reflect on the Academy's incomparable history of contribution to our country's national security.

America will not forget the lives that were taken and the justice their death requires.

We remain a Nation at risk to terrorist attacks and will remain at risk for the foreseeable future.

We will help Yemeni forces with both training and equipment to prevent that land from becoming a haven for terrorists.

The visits to these important capitals will advance our goal of combating terrorism, strengthening Transatlantic ties, and continuing to build a Europe whole, free, and at peace.
