I encourage those who live in coastal areas, as well as all concerned Americans, to be more vigilant in preparing for hurricanes and other natural disasters before they occur.

We can't do it all, but we can help one person at a time.

I need trade promotion authority, particularly from the Senate.

The United States and Russia has agreed to a treaty which will substantially reduce our nuclear arsenals to the agreed-upon range of 1,700 to 2,200 warheads.

My job is also to make sure America is safer.

I intend to nominate one individual and designate one individual.

I am prepared to work with the Congress to enact legislation to cure this constitutional defect before the effective date of the program.

My most important job is to protect innocent Americans.

It reduces Government interference in the market and in farmers' and ranchers' planting decisions.

This bill is generous and will provide a safety net for farmers, and it will do so without encouraging overproduction and depressing prices.

I am today signing into law H.R. 2646, the 'Farm Security and Rural Investment Act of 2002.'

It will promote farmer independence and preserve the farm way of life for generations.

When this country puts its mind to something, we can succeed.
