I welcome the legislation introduced by my colleague Harley Rouda and my fellow Texan, John Cornyn, in the Senate.

We still are the gold standard for safety, and that we will remain that.

Our motivation for being here is that we want to make sure that our airspace is the safest in the world.

I represent Dallas, which is home to Southwest Airlines and American Airlines, two of our best airlines here in the country.

As we are kind of tilting now to world power competition, I see the Middle East as just an extension of what we are seeing even in our own hemisphere.
