We must re-evaluate the way that we regulate commercial space activities.

We need to facilitate them to want, and enable them to come to the United States to do business.

We want to make sure that the United States is the center of that world.

We want to make it as easy as possible for them to do business here, and have a one-stop shop.

I'm glad the Administration sees the need, you know, and the importance and significance of space in today's world.

As a veteran myself, and with over 50,000 veterans in my district, in the 36th District of Texas, this is very promising.

We should be encouraging the creation of conditions for economic growth and opportunity right here.

Our Nation's space arena, whether it be in commercial, civil, or defense, is growing exponentially.

Where there is no vision, the people perish.

I look forward to working with you on one of the most exciting issues we deal with here in Congress--space exploration.

We have a unique opportunity before us. We have an Administration that put forth a bold direction, and we have an agency that stands ready to meet that challenge.

The importance of setting challenging but achievable schedules and not allowing undue schedule pressure lead to decisions adversely impacting safety and mission assurance.

I believe NASA is up to the task.

We are in the final stages of developing the Space Launch System.

I would respectfully recommend that we hear from NASA once this plan is finalized.

NASA should develop technologies that feed-forward from one mission to the next.

We must develop next generation space suits and human-class landers.

We have a unique opportunity before us.

By the will of Texas voters, we have added long-term state transportation funding solutions.

We have historically received a disproportionately small share of federal transportation funding.

Texas is the only donor State to the Federal Highway Trust Fund.

This is about protecting the hard-working taxpayer. And so how is that not taxation without representation...

But to blame everything on human activity and expect the United States of America... to pay carbon taxes...

We really have to start giving NASA and our whole space program a roadmap, a strategic plan.

We must ensure that we learn from the past to prevent the detrimental gaps in prior transitions and protect our most important asset--the people--the irreplaceable workforce that have brought us this far and will take us into the next 60…
