If TDA operations cease, what do you anticipate will happen, first of all, to ongoing projects in sub-Saharan Africa?

I would also suggest that you look at the Tri-Caucus, the Black, Hispanic, and Asian Pacific-American Caucus.

I would like to get a report back, though, with, again, disaggregated--African-American, Hispanic, Asian Pacific-American.

This budget proposes a billions of dollars cut to global health.

We shouldn't reduce it to 25 percent because that is going to mean our leverage ability for the Global Fund goes down.

It is a moral disgrace, and that is what we are dealing with across the way.

We know that foreign aid is really a national security strategy to prevent terrorism, to prevent countries from engaging in warfare.

But you are telling me, then, that you are not identifying any abuse or real contract fraud in your audit?

But we don't know what is being spent at the Pentagon. We don't know what constitutes--at least you don't--waste, fraud, and abuse.

This budget looks more like a wish list for defense contractors and a war-hungry administration.

It is hard to imagine how anyone could be proud of this budget.

I don't hate the President, but I hate his policies.

And so FDA--and I was surprised, and so that is why I am really glad you are here today, now that I found that it is FDA that has the oversight responsibility and manufacturers are required to report these shortages.

But if people don't have access or can't wash their hands and this is the only thing they have and our government is telling them to use this and they can't find it, what do we do?

But just on hand sanitizers, this is not happening because it is not available.

Many communities, rural communities, unhoused people who are living on the streets, communities of color, a lot of people don't have access to water.

I have been in three cities, can't find hand sanitizers anywhere at all.

The need is increasing, especially in communities where you have high rates of poverty and where you have many low income women and women of color who need WIC.

It may be three and a half percent for the general population, but in communities of colors it is a lot higher. It is twice that.

However, people are trying to find work. And through no fault of their own, they can't find work.
