I would just ask for the record if you don't know if there is, could we get you to followup with the Committee and find out whether or not there is someone responsible for keeping track of the 114s?

Would there be any reason why we shouldn't be able to keep track of the number of 114 requests that are made and their outcomes?

It would be very interesting to find out the number of 114s.

The idea that these laws were ever considered is disturbing, but the fact that these laws remain on our books is--at best--an oversight.

These statutes are a sad reminder of the hostile aggression and overt racism displayed by the early federal government toward Native Americans as the government attempted to 'assimilate' them into what was considered 'modern society.'
