We’re not facing the number of judicial vacancies this Congress that we faced during President Trump’s first term.

There are currently only around 50 vacancies on the federal bench.

One of the great achievements of President Trump’s first term was the confirmation of some 234 judges to the federal bench.

But I’m hopeful that that is not the position of the Democrat Party, the Democrat conference here in the Senate, and that we can work together in the coming weeks to pass bipartisan appropriations bills.

I’m disappointed to see Schumer implicitly threaten to shut down the government.

Hopefully on the home stretch and then we’ll see where the votes are.
