My bill authorizes partnership between DOE and the Department of Veterans Affairs to advance research focused on artificial intelligence, big-data science, and the high-priority health care needs of the Veterans Administration.

I want to thank Environmental Subcommittee Chairman Andy Biggs for his leadership in sponsoring this Improving Science in Chemical Assessments Act.

This legislation authorizes the Department of Energy to conduct collaborative research with the Department of Veterans Affairs in order to solve complex, big-data challenges focused on veterans' health care and basic science.

This legislation guarantees that chemical assessments will be conducted efficiently and will be valuable to national program offices.

As a cosponsor of H.R. 6468, the Improving Science in Chemical Assessments Act, I urge my colleagues to support this bill.
