Where I grew up back in South Carolina, volunteering was actually volunteering. Aside from having philosophical questions about being paid to volunteer, I think it goes back to what Davy Crockett said on the House floor, again more than 100 years ago, and that was this whole notion of there are a lot of good things we would like to do for other folks, but when we are spending other people's money to do so, I think which have to pause a real long time.
