This has been an outstanding hearing. You've done a great job. We've all learned a lot.

So I'd like us to think long and hard as a Nation whether that make sense.

I'm honored to be on the subcommittee. This is a change for me, and it's something I've been looking forward to for a very long time.

I cannot tell you how I am impressed with your personal energy and the engagement you've offered on behalf of our country, and I really do appreciate it.

Are you generally supportive of receiving more oil from Canada and less from the Middle East?

How many people would you envision being in Iraq to do the jobs that you'll be tasked to do?

General Petraeus has told me, you, and everyone else he cannot win the fight in Afghanistan without you.

Would it be smart if there was another uprising in Iran where the people took to the streets that we stand behind the people in the streets and impose a no-fly zone in Iran?

They were met with a very brutal response, and they were upset about the election, which I think most of us would agree was probably not free, fair, and transparent.

What would it take for you to safely and effectively do your job?

Now, come 2012, there's a lot still to be done in Iraq, and you will be the lead organization.

I will do everything I can on the Republican side in the Senate to make sure that we protect those funds.
