All I would tell my colleagues, the military is truly a different world.

The point is that court-martial panels are not jury of one's peers.

Very few of us have the authority to order somebody into battle.

I thank the Senator from North Dakota. Now I wish to recognize Senator Ayotte for 4 minutes. We have got a lot of speakers here to talk about S. Res. 65. She has been there at every step of the way.

But you also would agree that when Congress, the President, and our courts are all aligned, we are stronger as a nation.

I think we are involved in a generational struggle. So the lessons of September 11 are always learned the hard way.

Do you agree with me the war against radical Islam or terror, whatever description you would like to provide, will go on after the second term of President Obama?

The enemy of today is different than it was on September 11.

Doing nothing--Congress could be at the right answer more often than not.

From the President's point of view, does the AUMF in any way restrict his ability to go after terrorist organizations that represent a national security threat to this country?

We have done our due diligence, and we are just not finding the people out there.

Our Chinese friends seem to be hell bent on stealing anything they can get their hands on here in America rather than developing it in their own time and economy.

And wherever the Congress is failing, we are willing to try to inform our colleagues we need to up our game.

I have really enjoyed working with our Chairman here, who I think understands the threat as well as anyone in the Congress.

Well, most of what I know about the cybersecurity threat comes from Senator Whitehouse--which is a damning indictment to him.
