This is unfortunate, because it seems that all the stakeholders were working together to reach a satisfactory and sustainable agreement.

But we are all going to have to row this boat if we are going to get this country headed in the right direction.

If this is not the time to cut Federal spending and begin to work toward a balanced budget, I ask, when is the time?

Government has gone out of control. Our federal government is too big, tries to do too much, and spends too much hard-earned taxpayer money.

Common sense dictates that we cut up the credit cards and live within our means, just like every American household has to do.

Cut spending now. Cut discretionary spending, cut entitlements, but balance the budget in a way that does not mortgage the future of my boys and my future grandchildren.

We are now more than $14 Trillion dollars in debt. That number equates to approximately 94% of our Gross Domestic Product.
