I take this time really to return the compliment. The gentleman from New York (Mr. Solomon) has been one of the biggest defenders of our military in this Congress. Mr. Speaker, I have been here for 28 years. I have seen a lot of people come and go. In the administrations over the years and in Congress, we have never had a person who is a bigger defender of our military than the gentleman from New York (Jerry Solomon). He has made it possible for us to do a lot of things we could not have done otherwise in trying to revitalize our military, which needs very badly to be revitalized. I want to personally thank the gentleman for all the help he has been to me and our committee as chairman of the Committee on Rules in helping us overall these years.
