Mr. Chairman, I have had the opportunity now to sit here and listen to some of the comments of our colleagues... this Government is a drag on our economy. It is too big and needs to be reduced in size and scope. As the gentleman from South Carolina just said, for $100 in cuts, you get $138 in expansion of the economy. That is a good bargain, so we should listen to folks on the Joint Economic Committee and have the courage to make these changes. The second observation I would make is really I think it is very interesting to hear some of the comments from this side of the aisle about this budget. I had hoped that maybe this year we were going to be a little bit more candid in our debate... But it is pretty apparent we are going to go through it one more time, round two. In fact, the gentleman on the floor a little while ago said they are going to 'Take away Medicare.'
