Mr. Speaker, today I was unavoidably detained and missed rollcall vote 182, on consideration of a motion to recommit with instructions for H.R. 1911, and rollcall vote 183, on passage of H.R. 1911, the Smarter Solutions for Students Act, because of a longstanding commitment to discuss compassionate approaches to assist the poor and hungry. Had I been present, I would have voted ``no'' on rollcall 182 and ``aye'' on rollcall 183. ____________________
