“Mr. Chairman, I again rise in opposition. But I think the Committee on the Judiciary, and we will also look at whether this court ought to be abolished, I think this Congress passes things and creates things. Maybe this ought to be transferred to the D.C. Court of Appeals or some other court. If the conditions are the way that the gentleman said, my sense is maybe it just ought to be abolished. But until it is there, these 2,000 cases are moving. So maybe I would be very supportive of abolishing it, but I think they have to be able to operate. So for that reason, we will do a letter. We will do a letter to the gentleman from Wisconsin (Mr. Sensenbrenner) asking him to look at this issue, as to whether or not the court ought to stay in existence. Mr. Chairman, I oppose the amendment.”
