Violence and threats have no place in American political discourse, no matter what the cause or who the target.

Thank you and thank all your witnesses for coming today. I appreciate your insights on what we need to do across the country to combat violence, whether it is pro-abortion or anti-abortion, or just pro-healthcare.

By convening a hearing that inflames grievances and amplifies misinformation concerning the prevalence of violence against anti-abortion forces, this hearing does not advance our Congressional duty.

Congress should do that work.

I ask that you include language that would release the Banning Municipal Airport from its Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) obligations.

I strongly urge your committee to increase the PFC to fairly and efficiently meet these funding needs.

The most straightforward way to address this funding gap is to raise the Passenger Facility Charge and index it to inflation.

I want to stress the importance of robust and dependable funding for our nation's airports.

If this Committee wants to do something about violence in this country, about the horrific losses of life, do something.

This isn't governance. It's not working for the American people. It's grandstanding. It's a stunt.
