But despite the fact the IRS has demonstrated that with additional funding, it can provide taxpayers with the assistance they need during tax season, this administration's fiscal year 2020 request calls for reducing funding for taxpayer services by almost $90 million below the current level, and overall Taxpayer Services staffing by almost 2,200 full-time equivalents from fiscal year 2019 CR level.
