Many of my Republican friends across the aisle were calling for major cuts to these critical programs but recently some have changed their tune. If they truly believe in a new position, I am offering my friends the opportunity to back it up with a vote in the people's House. This vote will give Members the opportunity to reassure Americans that the House won't eviscerate these foundational programs that our constituents rely upon.
