Unless this is addressed, I see this as a major stumbling block to immigration reform.

The Public Record
As I said many times, any State that has an international airport... is a border State.
I believe that these overstays are a much, much more serious National threat.
I believe our first priority in any type of immigration laws are, No. 1, to protect the American people.
Over 40 percent of the people that are in the country illegally didn't cross a border.
I think simply put, you wouldn't replace the carpeting in your home if you still had a hole in your roof.
Safety, obviously, you know, if you asked everyone, they would say that is such an important issue.
As local entities, how can we increase roadway safety infrastructure on locally owned roads to reduce fatalities and serious injuries?
Do you agree that, first of all, that adequate truck parking facilities are a critical safety and infrastructure investment?
I couldn't disagree with that more. I believe we have now made our borders less secure because millions, millions of people are now being encouraged to come to the United States illegally.
I am going to disagree that we are deporting people or apprehending, the people that are being turned over and they are being deported.
