Are we going to send policemen and firemen in this nation in to battle against evil without the ability to talk to each other? Are we crazy?

How in the world do we ever expect to win this war?

I think New York is far more ready to respond to another attack than they were on September 11th.

We'll never be safe but New York is safer, most big cities in the U.S., all big cities in the U.S. I think, are safer than they were two and a half years ago.

President Clinton was as impressive as he has been through his entire political career. He is a master. He's the best natural politician and one of the best original thinkers I've ever met in my entire life.

None of the years of the Clinton effort, as vigorous as it was, either stopped the spread of al Qaeda, brought us Osama bin Laden, or prevented September 11.
