This bill, H.R. 1516, is very good legislation that will create new cemeteries across this country of ours, particularly in southeastern Pennsylvania where a tremendous need for a new veterans cemetery has been demonstrated throughout the years. In southeastern Pennsylvania, nearly 300,000 veterans live over 65 miles from the closest veterans cemetery. And in that congested part of the State, the travel time to that open cemetery is long and arduous. And this veterans cemetery located somewhere in southeastern Pennsylvania will be a tremendous service to the families of veterans and a great way of honoring the service of those who have given so much to this country.
