She killed 6 people, wounded 40, Gila among them, using a suicide vest such as is pictured in the photo of the gentleman from Florida (Mr. Deutsch) that I know he wants to talk about in just a minute. But let me just tell my colleagues about Gila. She survived that blast, shredded with shrapnel; her eyesight is still in jeopardy today, but the doctors are optimistic that she will make a full recovery and she will recover from the wounds that the shrapnel caused.”
