I wish to express my support for funding of the NIH in this Labor, Health & Human Services and Education Appropriation bill. Although funding in this bill is not sufficient to continue that effort, but I know Chairman Young and subcommittee Chairman Porter will be working towards that goal as they work to finalize this bill, so I will be voting for the bill. Chronic diseases such as diabetes, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, heart disease, cancer and stroke still pose enormous social and economic burdens to families throughout the world.”
