First, in terms of the bill's substance, the gist of this legislation is that there should be common sense in the food court, not blaming other people in the legal court. We need to get back to the old-fashioned principles of common sense and personal responsibility and get away from this new culture where everybody plays the victim and tries to blame others for their problems. Now, I have heard from some of the other speakers that this is a frolic; this is just a waste of time. We should be talking about jobs. Well, it is interesting to me because we are talking about protecting the single largest private sector employer in the United States that provides 12 million jobs. Why do these people pretend to love jobs yet hate the employers who create these jobs? It defies common sense as much as their opposition to this bill.
