“I rise in support of H.R. 3200. Earlier this year, Congress increased the amount of SGLI available to servicemembers up to $400,000. That provision is scheduled to expire as of September 30, 2005. We need to make this increase permanent. The costs for this increase would be borne by the men and women who are covered under the SGLI program. We must never forget that SGLI is an insurance program, paid for by the men and women who are insured.
