Mr. Speaker, many of our colleagues have received a copy of the report, Made in China. This report outlines why corporations like Wal-Mart and Nike have become identified with child labor, forced labor, and hazardous working conditions. These are not the values we want to bring to other countries. By granting PNTR, we give up any hope of influencing China's policy on workers and human rights. We are inviting U.S. companies to leave the U.S. to produce goods in a country which does not support the minimum wage, basic safety regulations, or the right of association. Mr. Speaker, let us export our values, not our jobs. I urge my colleagues to vote against this legislation.
