Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that when the Senate completes its business today, it adjourn until 10 a.m., on Wednesday, July 6; that following the prayer and pledge, the Journal of proceedings be approved to date, the morning hour be deemed expired, and the time for the two leaders be reserved for their use later in the day; that following any leader remarks, the Senate resume consideration of the motion to proceed to Calendar No. 93, S. 1323, to express the sense of the Senate on shared sacrifice in resolving the budget deficit, with the time until 12:30 p.m. equally divided and controlled between the two leaders or their designees, with Senators permitted to speak for up to 10 minutes each; and that the Senate recess from 12:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. to allow for the weekly party conferences; further, that the time from 2:15 p.m. until 6 p.m. be equally divided and controlled between the two leaders or their designees, with Senators permitted to speak for up to 10 minutes each.
