I ask unanimous consent to speak for 2 more minutes. The PRESIDING OFFICER. Is there objection? Without objection, it is so ordered. Mr. CASEY. That is section 179, and that is another issue addressed in the bill. The third provision is the so-called bonus depreciation, which helps businesses in much the same way the expensing rules do. The bonus depreciation allows companies to expense half of the cost of qualifying assets that they buy and put into service in the same year. I won't go through all the numbers, but we have heard from companies across the board about that provision as well. Whether it is provisions that help restaurants, whether it is to help businesses that want to make capital purchases, or whether it is companies that benefit from another year of a tax benefit, this bill allows us to give a measure of certainty for at least 2 years to these businesses and especially those that are small businesses. I believe this is one of those times where we can fulfill what a lot of people have asked us to do. They have asked us on a daily basis to work together to create jobs. This legislation, which is bipartisan, is one way to come together in a bipartisan fashion to create jobs and give certainty to help our small businesses and to work together-- Democrats and Republicans. I yield the floor. The PRESIDING OFFICER. The Senator from Nebraska. Health Care
