I call up the Bingaman amendment numbered 2219, as modified. The PRESIDING OFFICER. The clerk will report. The assistant legislative clerk read as follows: The Senator from Pennsylvania [Mr. Specter], for Mr. Bingaman, proposes an amendment numbered 2219, as modified. The amendment (No. 2219), as modified, is as follows: At the end of title III (before the short title), insert the following: Sec. __. (a) In addition to amounts otherwise appropriated under this Act, there is appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, an additional $4,900,000 to carry out part H of title I of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. 6551 et seq.). (b) Notwithstanding any other provision of this Act, the amount made available under the heading Health Resources and Services Administration for construction and renovation is further reduced by $4,900,000.
