Arlen Specter: “Senator Harkin and I are going to be going to the floor and asking for an increase in the budget resolution on NIH.”

Because it is so important for the public to know how its Government functions, and because the Supreme Court affects the lives of Americans in such great detail.

Senator Specter cited just one. It was his vote against confirming Jeff Sessions as a Federal judge.

I believe that if the Court were televised, there would be an understanding and an accountability.

The reason we serve is to ensure that our children and our children's children inherit the same great country that we received from those who went before us.
