this amendment provides $80 million for data collection for student achievement. While it would be desirable to have more funds in this appropriations bill, we don't have them, and the offset is a cut in the program out of the Department of Education which would be very burdensome, really intolerable for the Department of Education. For that reason, I reluctantly oppose the amendment by the Senator from Nevada.
