A key component of preparedness is the availability of effective preventive and therapeutic drugs and vaccines to counter diseases caused by man-made attacks and public health threats. Identifying and funding the means to acquire these drugs and vaccines is an issue that I believe the Appropriations Committee and the Labor- HHS Subcommittee should urgently address.
