“I call up amendment No. 2289, as modified, proposed by Senator Dayton. The PRESIDING OFFICER. The amendment is pending. Without objection, the amendment is so modified. The amendment, as modified, is as follows: On page 178, after line 25, insert the following: Sec. ___. (a) In addition to amounts otherwise appropriated under this Act, there are appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, $15,121,000 for activities authorized by the Help America Vote Act of 2002, of which $13,500,000 shall be for payments to States to promote access for voters with disabilities, and of which $8,621,000 shall be for payments to States for protection and advocacy systems for voters with disabilities. On page 137, line 9, both amounts should be further reduced by $7,000,000.”
