“we are about to vote on two amendments at 5:30. I believe both of these are good amendments. Senator Alexander has proposed an amendment which will facilitate immigrants learning English. I think that is a very sound approach. Senator Bingaman has promoted an amendment which would enhance border control and funding. I believe both are good amendments.
