I am very disappointed that TSA refused to provide a witness for today's hearing.

I am all for going after these like I was for going after those people that did the pop-up ads.

Nothing brings us, Democrats and Republicans, together faster or stronger than I think this issue.

We know that a lot of surveys show seniors like Medicare Part D, like a 90 percent approval rating.

One consistent concern I hear about from my constituents in Oregon as I hold town halls and other meetings is the high cost of prescription drugs.

We should confront these issues now to modernize the Part D benefit, keep drugs affordable for seniors and address misaligned incentives that drive up costs.

This hearing continues this committee's important work on bringing down the costs of prescription drugs for seniors, frankly for all Americans, and patients across the country, but especially seniors in the Medicare program.

I am disappointed that we are starting off this way, but I continue to remain hopeful that we can get back on track.

We are going to repeat the mistakes of the past by doubling down on failed efforts from President Obama's Green Jobs Program.

As yet another week goes by without a single substantive legislative accomplishments, the Democrats are still struggling with the basic principle of regular order.
