Continued Federal investment is necessary to leverage and create a cohesive transportation system across the Nation.

We have got to get people off the highways, get them safe.

Well, that's what Oklahoma is about. And we have great people and I know we're going to make it through this even stronger. We persevere, we're resilient, we believe in helping our neighbors.

Well, the needs are right now certainly counseling for those that lost loved ones. We've heard some traumatic stories.

I have been in office for 20 years. I have been through a lot of these natural disasters, but I have never seen this many in a short period of time.

And I, too, support eliminating the estate tax and hope we can accomplish that before it expires.

But wouldn't it be nice if our government were by our side, standing with us, helping us navigate these troubled times?

Can't we all stand up for small business? Can't we all stand up for American businesses? Doesn't that make sense?

How can we best jump-start our national economy?

What impact will it have upon small businesses, upon your profits, upon your margins?

I want you guys to be able to create jobs and opportunity and have investment.

Mr. Speaker, my concern is that a 41 percent increase in the minimum wage places a real burden on our small businesses. It is a burden that could mean layoffs. It is a burden that could mean bankruptcy for others. The Federal Government…
