We need to do a lot of work in training these folks to get into those jobs.

I have been a small businessman for over 34 years across multiple sectors: banking, technology companies, real estate development, McDonald's restaurants.

So we are all arguing about whether this code is simple or not, but there has never been one.

We have the lowest unemployment in many, many months.

I will be the first to tell you that I agree that this code should be simpler.

Regulation is a longer word for tax.

To say that it did not attribute to the Tax Code would be to call those individual CEOs liars.

I ran for Congress, was to reduce the regulations on small business and people with ideas who wanted to go find capital.

We have a lot of work to do. The pendulum always swings from no regulation to over-regulation.

The Small Business Committee is a nice oasis in Washington, D.C.

I would like to ask you one other question. Could you expound a little bit on the marijuana banking issue?

When you are the last to get paid, every regulation is just like a tax.

This Committee has been really refreshing, to see a committee where you can work together to find solutions.

You didn't create the problem. You are trying to be a solution to the problem.

It is not federally required, and we continue to add states every election cycle.

At the end of the day, the regulatory process, we do have to have a certain amount of regulations to protect from certain things that happen out there.

People need to understand the enormity of this problem.

One could even argue that the situation is not going to fix itself, and the longer we kick this down the road, the less people are going to want to do the job.

It hasn't been a deterrent to people to open the businesses.

It has been very frustrating.

There is not a person in this room who doesn't think we need more legal immigration.

We have failed as a Congress to fix the problem.

We can't just throw money at it. We have to throw money at it and fix the problem.

If we could take the cameras out, take all the recording out, we probably could find a solution in about 30 minutes.
