My understanding is there are still seven recommendations that are open dealing with DOD, but that seems to be accelerating.

If they would only enforce their borders, it is much harder to enforce ours.

What are we doing now to encourage those countries to enforce their borders?

Could we get the budget for those and also the copy, the text for those? That would be very helpful for us to be able to see what is actually being used.

I would say over a quarter million people that crossed the border illegally in one month is not operational control.

Would you put that person under the authority of your commanders at that point to be able to have, again, where you have somebody that they answer to for it, or who do they work for?

That is not right. Again, if they take the job on, that is different than you have to sacrifice all this stuff and then we will tell you later whether you are actually going to get it or not.

I have no problem with maintaining ethics for individuals that are serving in government, but we are talking about those that are literally in the application process at that point.

The Obama Administration, in eight years, had several IG positions they just refused to ever nominate someone for, and they did not want the oversight in that area.

Why are we doing Senate confirmation for someone that the agency is picking to be in a relationship with us? So that seems nonsensical.
